Fire Risk

Fire Risk Assessments

Global Environmental provide fire risk assessments to help landlords, property managers and developers to meet their obligations under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.  The order applies to virtually all premises in England and Wales and covers nearly every type of building, structure and open space.  It excludes single private domestic dwellings, but including areas used in common in multi-occupied dwellings.  It requires the responsible person to make a sufficient assessment of the risks to which relevant persons are exposed, to identify the fire precautions needed.  They must take reasonable steps to reduce the risk from fire and ensure that people can escape if a fire does occur.

Our team of fire risk assessors all hold the necessary accreditations and have considerable experience of evaluating fire risk in all property types including:

  • Commercial premises (office space, workplaces etc)
  • Municipal buildings (Local Authority, leisure centres, libraries)
  • Housing (residences and communal areas)
  • Education (schools, colleges etc)
  • Healthcare (hospitals, clinics, health centres)
  • Industrial (factories, workshops, warehouses)

Detailed reports can be provided within 48 hours of the site visit. Click to download a sample fire risk assessment report.

Our fire risk assessment procedure is administered under our Quality Management System which is accredited by UKAS against the International Standard for Inspection Management, ISO 17020:2012.
