Fergus McCloskey | Managing Director
Fergus joined the board at Global in 2011 tasked with developing the business and marketing for the company. This encompasses brand development and the diversification of the company’s core skills base from asbestos management to include energy assessments, fire risk management, DDA compliance and water hygiene.
Through working closely with clients he has developed an appreciation and knowledge of the environmental process which he is able to implement to help shape strategy and business development at Global.
Fergus comes from a background in PR and has been running Handmade Marketing, a consultancy which specialises in developing business in the Construction Sector, since 2009. He holds a BA Hons in Social Science.
Michael Gunn | Operations Manager
Global Environmental was pleased to welcome Michael Gunn to the team at the start of 2018. He joins us from Adamsons Laboratory Services where, latterly, he was a Quality Manager, ensuring that asbestos services met internal and external standards. As well as managing day-to-day queries that come into the office regarding new and on-going work, Michael is responsible for the supervision of Global’s team of asbestos surveyors as well as more specific issues arising from complex surveys and projects.
Paul Riding | Quality Manager
Paul joined the Global team in October 2017 and has a wealth of experience in the asbestos industry having worked in asbestos removal, surveying and office-based management positions.
He is a former Operations Manager at Licenced Asbestos Removals company Forest Environmental and has 6 years-experience of the removals sector, three of which were as an ARCA-accredited Asbestos Removals Supervisor.
He can therefore bring cross-discipline expertise and experience to the site management phase to ensure the works are carried out to specification and to-programme. As a Project Manager, Paul is involved with the full mix of consultancy from surveying, overseeing removal works to quality review and client / stakeholder liaison. His qualifications include: ARCA Supervisor; P402 Asbestos Sampling and Surveying. Paul is also qualified to carry out fire risk assessments.
Paul Scholes | Health & Safety Manager
Paul has over 33 years’ experience in the asbestos sector and has project- managed complex decontamination projects for numerous key developments in London. In that time he has gained a comprehensive knowledge of the issues and legislation relevant to remediating asbestos from commercial, residential and public sector properties both as a consultant and working for licenced contractors.
Paul is a Chartered Member of the Institution of Safety and Health (CMIOSH).
Keira Finn | Contract Administrator
Keira joined Global Environmental in June 2018 as a Contract Administrator. Her excellent communication skills, developed over 8 years in various customer service roles, enables her to act as the focal point of the company’s internal and external interfaces – typically she will be the first point of contact for site personnel, our field teams and client enquiries and manage issues to keep projects and contracts running smoothly.
Other responsibilities include diary management, appointment-making and processing valuations and applications.
