Global restarts under series of COVID measures
Global Environmental safely restarts work this month with series of new COVID measures.
All aspects of Global’s asbestos surveying meet with these new COVID measures at their social housing and commercial building contracts across London and the South East, ensuring the safety of both employees and clients is paramount whilst carrying out their work.
The new COVID secure measures include:
- Ensuring that all staff (including any sub-contract/freelance operatives working for Global Environmental) are instructed to stop work immediately if they believe they are experiencing any of the symptoms of COVID-19 (dry cough, high temperature, shortness of breath). Any staff that have tested positive must self-isolate for 7 days or who have been in contact with someone who has symptoms of the virus must self-isolate for 14 days.
- When making appointments our admin team will ask if any occupants have been diagnosed with Coronavirus, are showing symptoms of the virus and/or have been advised to self-isolate. Prior to the appointment our operatives will call ahead to check these details again.
- All operatives to check their temperature daily before going on site and to follow strict hygiene procedures including washing hands with soap and water regularly throughout the day (for at least 20 seconds) and applying hand sanitiser gel before and after entering any properties.
- Whilst surveying all Global operatives will wear P3 face masks, disposable latex gloves and coveralls as a matter of course to protect them from fibre-release during intrusive survey works and with agreement of the client they can be instructed to ask occupants if they would like them to wear the PPE throughout their visit to protect them and the occupants against Coronavirus infection.
