HSE is doing a survey on asbestos surveys

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is taking a significant step towards better asbestos control in non-domestic buildings, and your experience could help them.  They are asking duty-holders who have had an asbestos survey completed to let them know about their experience.

The move was triggered by the Work and Pensions Select Committee’s advice, which scrutinized HSE’s methods for managing asbestos risks.

If you take part you will contribute to a pool of data that could help shape the future of asbestos management. HSE aims to:

  • Understand your level of awareness and actions taken regarding asbestos.
  • Learn from your behaviours and experiences with surveyors and analysts.
  • Use this information to refine strategies for asbestos risk management.

The HSE is seeking a variety of perspectives from different sectors. Whether you’re a small business owner or part of a large organization, your contribution is important.

If you take part your privacy is protected. Responses are anonymous, and the data you provide won’t be used for inspections.  The survey can be found here.
