An award-winning formula

MICAD, a leading provider of property management systems, has named the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham (LBBD) as an award-winning user at their annual awards event in September 2016.

Winning the category ‘Most Compliant Asbestos Module’ is a result of the partnership LBBD has forged with Global Environmental over the last 12 months, where both organisations have made full use of the Micad Asbestos Management Software Module.  Global uploads all of their asbestos survey records allowing LBBD to have complete visibility, via a daily report, of the drawings, risk ratings, risk assessments and prioritisation actions of their on-going projects.

“We are delighted by this news,” said Global Environmental’s Operation Manager, Paul Phillips.  “It was a very big commitment on our part investing both the money and time to upload current and previous reports, but it has paid off.  My team embraced it from the start and we are now reaping the benefits of our commitment.”

He continued, “Having this information readily available reduces financial and operational risks as well as long term asbestos management costs, and promotes higher levels of compliance, benchmarks surveyor/consultant performance, provides standard and bespoke reporting of data sets and gives full client ownership of data.”

John MacFarlane, Asbestos Manager at LBBD was equally enthusiastic, “This is something we are extremely proud of being up against large organisations such as Barclays Bank, NHS trusts, various housing associations and other local authorities. I would like to thank Global Environmental for their input, support and assistance in helping us achieve this.”
